Thank you for liberating us, now please leave.

One thing that all Iraqis can agree on is that they could be no worse with the United States military OUT OF THEIR COUNTRY. The US is not there to protect the Iraqi people. They are there to protect Exxon, Halliburton and Lockheed.

When you look at the facts, Iraq was invaded and taken over by a foreign country (us) without a formal declaration of war, and based on a false pretense. The LEAST we can do is to leave.

The diplomatic solution would be for the Iraqi President to say "Thank you for liberating us from Saddam, we can take care of the rest from here." A coalition of non-hostile countries (i.e. not USA) could help Iraq to maintain security and to rebuild.

Then, all of our sons and daughters can come home from that nightmarish hell that is Operation Iraqi Freedom!

hey gravity, i saw your comments somewhere and decided to check you out.
I hope you don't mind, but i have to take issue with this entire post.

1. "All iraqis agree they couldn't be worse (if we left)"??? says who? is there a poll or something out there that i haven't read? that's bullshit.

2. "the us is ther to protect halliburton/exxon"??........ stupid, and old

3. "when you look at the facts"?? you obviously haven't looked at any. all you have is opinion and bullshit talking points. (of course it's your blog so thats fine if thats the way you want it)

4. "The diplomatic solution" ?? The iraqi's could ask us to leave any time they want, but they won't because they need us, and who would we bring in to help?? the french?? come on man, you gotta do better than that. give some examples, specifically. like who would send their troops in there to protect democracy if we left? etc.

There was a poll.

Asked about when they wanted U.S. and British forces to leave, 57 percent chose immediately, as in the next few months, the poll said; 36 percent said troops should stay longer." CNN/Gallup 4/28/06

There's a nice article from USA Today:

...but true.

Because it's the way you operate, does not mean that I necessarily operate that way, too. You are clueless. You are either bluffing because you don't know what you are talking about, or you are lying to protect your delusion.

"4. "The diplomatic solution" ?? The iraqi's could ask us to leave any time they want,"

... and they will when they get the chance ...

According to a January 2005 poll by Abu Dhabi TV/Zogby International, 82 percent of Sunni Arabs and 69 percent of Shiite Arabs favor the withdrawal of U.S. troops either immediately or after an elected government is in place.

A nationwide poll taken by Iraqi university researchers for the British government found that 82 percent of all Iraqis surveyed in August are strongly opposed to the presence of coalition troops and 67 percent feel less secure because of the occupation, the Sunday Telegraph of London reported last month.

come on man, you gotta do better than that.(compared to Albania, our largest remaining coalition partner? =GL) give some examples, specifically. like who would send their troops in there to protect democracy if we left? etc."

Egypt, Turkey, Belgium, France, Canada, India, Japan, NATO, the UN... you know, the rest of the world. =GL

BTW, are you "rhino-itall" as in RINO, republican in name only?
